Birthday on the Road

I turned 30 while we were in Quartzsite. Thanks to my amazing family and awesome friends, it felt like I was home. 

I got a huge care package from my parents, and my best friend sent me an amazing homemade cake and care package from CA. And my husband somehow got flowers delivered in the middle of nowehere.

I watched the sunrise, got to paint for most of the day, and enjoyed a glass of champagne while the sun set behind the desert hills. And thanks to our solar panels and plenty of sun, I got to cook my own birthday dinner while boondocking in the desert.
