New Orleans The State Park version

New Orleans was definitely on the bucket list. But after seeing the prices of the RV parks close to town, we had to make the decision to be further away from downtown. Luckily we discovered a campground gem. Bayou Segnette State Park was a beautiful, friendly, and relaxing spot for the week. And we were only 20 minute drive into New Orleans. A total win for our bucket list. 

We made the best of our short visit to New Orleans. We ate beignets (way too many!), took an air boat, held baby crocodiles, ate delicious food, and listened to a lot of live music. We also got a fantastic private tour at the Audubon Insectarium and tried cookies with crickets in them. It was a fantastic visit to New Orleans! We can check that box on our bucket list. But we will probably be back for more music and beignets.
